MIT App Inventor is a program used to make applications for android devices. Luz Cornelio and I jumped right into making our very first game, MoleMash. My partner and I felt so confident with our first attempt at creating an app that we decided to challenge ourselves further by doing MoleMash2.

Anyone can follow a step by step tutorial but personalizing it to fit your needs and desire is a completely different story. My communication skills drastically improved in the process of creating this app. I also got better at problem solving by tackling a problem in various different methods.
The purpose of the app is to tap on the oxygen. For everytime you hit the eighth element of the periodic table you will score a point. The app also keeps track of the number of times you miss the assigned element. You beat the game when you hit a total of 10 points and you will now be presented with Charlie Sheen (right screen). If you accumulate ten misses then we will give you some words of encouragement (left screen) to motivate you to try again.

Don't get to comfortable because if the game sees you winning then it will speed up the rate at which Oxygen moves from space to space. Dont worry because we also programmed it to slow down if it sees you are struggling to catch this mischievous element. Thats not all though! You must complete this task before the thirty second timer runs out.
